All EBSCO databases that UDST Library subscribes to come with built-in accessibility features, including read-aloud options and screen reader support. Popular databases such as Business Source Ultimate, CINAHL Ultimate, MEDLINE, and eBook Collection are included, and you can find EBSCO’s accessibility statement online to learn more about how they support all users:
Gale eBooks contain multidisciplinary collections and are embedded with accessibility features, including alt text for images, read aloud option, screen reader support, and few others.
ProQuest includes ProQuest Central, Ebook Central, Research Library and several subject specific collections. For instance, ProQuest’s Ebook Central platform incorporates several accessibility features designed to support users with disabilities, such as accessibility mode which converts content to a plain text format optimized for screen readers, screen reader compatibility, text-to-speech function, and many others.
Taylor & Francis has made their platform accessible for all our users, regardless of their ability or technology, and converted thousands of journal articles into HTML, PDF and EPUB3 format. Other features include readspeaker text-to-audio and customizable reading options.
