E-Books
E-books are digital versions of printed texts that can be accessed on various devices, including laptops, phones and university computers. The Library has acquired rights to thousands of e-books, which you can read both on- and off-campus.
So if all physical copies of a book are checked out, or you've hit your borrowing limit, or if it's too hot to leave your air-conditioned room, consider checking for an e-book version.
E-books are available any time of the day or night from all internet-connected devices, allowing you to use them anytime and anywhere.
Although our e-books can be accessed from any internet-connected device, most e-book platforms are not optimized for mobile phones and tablets, as they do not automatically adjust the text size to fit your screen. For the best viewing experience, we suggest using a PC or laptop.
If you encounter a message indicating that a popular e-book is already in use, don’t worry. The e-book will become available soon. Some platforms limit the number of simultaneous viewers to one or a few users. Take a short break and try again in a few minutes.
Numerous e-books available in our library are equipped with Digital Rights Management (DRM) software. This software, employed by certain e-book providers, may impose limitations on actions like downloading, printing, or copying.
Although Library Services endeavors to purchase e-books without DRM whenever feasible, some of our e-books are subject to usage restrictions. Additional details on utilizing our e-books can be found by exploring the other pages in this e-books guide.
